Fambo Local

2019—2025

Fambo is passionate about the health and wellbeing of queer communities and has partnered with Local Government and not-for-profit organisations to proudly create free events for LGBTIQA+ children and families.

For Inner West Council:

  • Workshops by artists Kirthana Selveraj, Nadia Odlum and Jay Wood, facilitated by Jenn Blake, Ohni Blu and Lillian Colgan for Sydney World Pride.
  • Rainbow Time Machine installation and workshop by Ohni Blu, facilitated by Cameron Stead, Jay Wood and Ohni Blu for Feel the Love.
  • Fly Your Flag – pride flag making activity at Mardi Gras Parade screening event 2024 facilitated Ohni Blu, Lillian Colgan and Amelia Lazberger.

For Waverley Council:

  • Fambo “family day” at Bondi Pavillion for Sydney World Pride. Event included flag and badge making, a reading nook of LGBTIQA+ centred children’s books and a collaborative rainbow art installation by Jenn Blake and Ohni Blu. Facilitated by Jenn Blake, Ohni Blu, Cameron Stead, Tallulah Lipman and Billy Hambides.

For Coastal Twist Festival:

  • An outdoor workshop for the festival’s Fair Day event. With a “Power Stone” making activity by Ohni Blu and a pronoun badge creation station. Facilitated by Jenn Blake and Ohni Blu.

For Cement Fondu Gallery:

  • We Have Many Layers in-gallery collaging workshop by Lillian Colgan. The workshop ran alongside the exhibition Retellings (Revisions) with works by Rainbow Chan and Sin Wai Kin. Facilitated by Jenn Blake and Lillian Colgan.

For Sock Drawer Heros:

  • Pop-up creative badge making stall for Sock Drawer Heros and Friends Laneway Market. Facilitated by Jenn Blake.

For Parents for Trans Youth Equity (PTYE):

  • 2024 Mardi Gras float concept and design “The Future is Bright for Trans Kids”. Design by Jenn Blake with support from families and friends of PTYE. Made with love.
