Ohni Blu was born in Central West Queensland and currently resides on Wangal Country. They are an interdisciplinary artist, trauma-informed social worker, and the Programs Manager of Fambo.
Their work navigates personal narratives across LGBTQI+ identity, disability, community care, radical healing, and the power of vulnerability. With a Bachelor of Visual Arts Honours (First Class) from Sydney College of the Arts, Ohni has exhibited both nationally and internationally, with recent exhibitions held at the Institute of Modern Art (IMA), Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA), Casula Powerhouse, c3 Contemporary, The Powerhouse Museum, and Verge Gallery. Ohni is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at Western Sydney University, earning distinction as a member of the Dean’s List for Social Sciences. Alongside their art making, Ohni is passionate about social justice, housing advocacy, and abolition.
