Jay Wood is a relational and trauma-informed art psychotherapist and early childhood educator with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education), and a Master of Art Therapy with Distinction from Western Sydney University.
With over 20 years experience working with children and their caregiving networks, Jay brings a deep and nuanced understanding of early psychosocial development. This expertise has enabled Jay to witness and support children with complex stories that are difficult to tell with words. Jay has been involved with Fambo since 2023 and has a passion for kids programming that promotes social connection and enhances individual, and community wellbeing. Jay’s practice is informed by his lived experience of gender diversity, art making, queer parenting, parenting children who are queer, gender diverse and neurodivergent.
